Guwahati: White-bellied storks, endangered species with an additional population of around 250 scattered throughout the world, has been seen in Tiger reserves of KAMLANG in Arunachal Pradesh.
The youngest reserves in the state below the Tiger Project program are centrally funded, seeing this bird recently while forest officials are in a trail of large cats in the backup core area.
Experts have argued that the existence of birds in uninterrupted core areas has become blessings for species because they can develop in this residence.
“The most important thing, we have seen white hairy storks in the core location in the core area.
We see birds in the past two years but only on the camera trap.
For the first time we see them directly and catch it in the video,” DFO from Kamlang Tiger Reserve, Cheshta Singh, told TII.
The bird was seen on the banks of the Tawah River in the Kampung backup core zone in the last week of January.
The most officials say protecting the reason for breeding near the river and stopping illegal fishing for fish-eating birds have emerged as a new challenge.
.
Kampung Reserve shares the limit with Namdapha Tiger Reserve, which also has several bird populations, and the forest staff there looks quite routine.
There are three tiger reserves in Arunachal, including Pakke.
Singh said the extensive area where the bird was believed to be free of habitat from human residence.
“This bird actually prefers a large area that is truly uninterrupted.
We need to protect such habitat where we just think tigers are accustomed to hanging around,” Singh added.
The white-stomach herone has been found to be breed along the side of the river in trees and bushes.
Storks eat fish and depend on their food habits, Singh feels that illegal fishing must be stopped, at least in sanctifays.
But DFO emphasizes the study needs focused on species.
Birds that are difficult to understand and very rare are seen during the estimated Indian Tiger 2021-22, read tweets recently from the Tiger Reserve Authority KAMLANG.
Clipping the video of the bird for about 27 seconds is inserted into a tweet.
“This shows habitat values in terms of conservation and protection from various threats,” he said.
“Only because of the Tiger project that is ongoing in a country that we can see birds in the core area.
If we have a focused study, it can cause more discoveries.
There may be a large number of these species because this area is difficult to get across,” he felt.
In addition to northeast, the degradation of bird habitats has raised concerns in Bhutan neighbors too.
Some conservationists felt that the population had diminished under 100.
The royal community for natural protection has emphasized the conservation of species in Bhutan.
