Saline: Bird lovers with cameras and binoculars travel to the flow in Southeast Michigan to see rare creatures with pink feathers and long bills.
Spoonbill Roseate was found in Saline at Drain Koch Warner, the first seen in Michigan, said Molly Keenan from Michigan Audubon.
The bird, who usually lives in the Gulf Coast region, escapes from the zoo or “very confused,” said Saline police, who put the traffic cone on the road to manage the flow of people.
“Sometimes they wander a little too far,” said Benjamin Shinger, a bird curator at the Michigan University Zoology Museum.
Whatever the reason, the word has spread about the bird.
Sally is mostly and her husband travels about 200 miles (322 kilometers) from Fairmount, Indiana.
“After some time, you see many of the same birds, and then you see something unusual.
