New Delhi: Right when Twitter remained challenging in his reluctance to follow the new rules, his colleagues Google, Facebook and Instagram came to praise by Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to submit a monthly compliance report in accordance with the regulations.
“Glad to see a significant social media platform like Google, Facebook, and Instagram following the new rules.
The first compliance report about voluntary removal of offensive posts published by them according to the rules is a big step towards transparency,” Minister said in a tweet.
This new rule requires a large social media platform with more than 5 million users to publish monthly compliance reports, provide details about the user complaints received and actions taken on it, including voluntarily.
The Facebook group company WhatsApp has not submitted a mandated compliance report, even though the company has indicated that it will be submitted in the middle of the month.
