Ravi Shankar Prasad said big technology must comply with Indian law

LONDON: Minister of IT Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Wednesday he had no problems with social media users criticizing it or Indian PM but large technologies must comply with the regional law operating.
“The technology company cannot decide to be only tied by it.
American law, but shows their shareholders how many customers they have in India,” he said.
Talking about a four-year-old tweet which caused it to be blocked for one hour, he said he didn’t care if he was targeted by Twitter because he had a wide shoulder.
“I don’t mind criticism even from Twitter itself.
Tweet made in India.
That’s the point,” he said.
