MANCHESTER: Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and supporting staff of Fellow Bharat Arun and R Sridhar tend to go for India on Wednesday as long as they have two negative RT-PCR reports before the date of their departure.
Shastri, which was positively tested for Covid-19 before the fourth test in the oval, has been in quarantine since September 4 and is expected to complete the 10-day isolation period along with Arun and Sridhar on Monday.
However, the trio needs to have a negative RT-PCR report before they leave the British beach for India and are expected to join a tighter bio-bubble in Dubai, posting IPL when the Indian team gathered for the T20 World Cup campaign.
“Ravi, Sridhar and Arun are all physically and mostly without symptoms.
They will take their RT-PCR tests on Monday and if everything goes well, they can fly with the initial date of departure, namely September 15.
The final call will be Taken by the medical team, “said a senior BCCI official to PTI about the condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, other supporting staff members from the contingent will fly out on Monday afternoon according to commercial flights through Dubai.
However, Junior Physio Yogesh Parmar, who was tested positively on September 8, must remain in isolation for several days before he can fly home.
