New Delhi: The former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has been hanging out as the Commissioner of Legends League Cricket (LLC), a professional event for retired players who will take off next year.
The first season of LLC is scheduled to be held in January next year in the Gulf.
“It feels fun to stay connected with cricket in a thick action, especially with the legend of the game that has become champions in their own rights,” Shastri, who served with India ended after the team came out of the ICC T20 World Cup, said in the release issued by event organizers.
“It would be very fun with some serious cricket I was very happy to be part of the Legends League Cricket.
This is a unique initiative and we see a very bright future in front,” added 59 years.
Release, however, does not determine about its role as a league commissioner.
The league will have a former Cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and the United Kingdom, among other cricket countries divided into three teams representing India, Asia and the rest of the world.
