School students of Rayat Bahra University and Mechanical Technology Mechanical 7 Semester 7 have developed the Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) – devices that extract water from moist ambient air.
Using technology, water vapor in the air is cooled below the dew point that condenses into liquid water.
The atmospheric water generator is useful where clean drinking water is difficult to obtain.
Because there is always a water vapor rate found in the air, this water vapor can be extracted and therefore it is used for drinking purposes in areas such as rare drinking water.
The team of students who have developed this device include Banda Justin, Nguz Andre, Christopher Adjei, Akash Kumar, Safe Singh Bhatia, Ankit Dogra, Manish Angurana, Sukhwinder Singh, and Sanjay Rana.
These students work under the leadership of the Head of Abhinav A.
Tripathi and Assistant Professor Harpreet Singh.
This project was made to overcome the problem of clean drinking water supply which was inadequate and also to help clean the surrounding air in the atmosphere.
