Jaipur: Hearing the petition submitted by a group of consumers to distribute discom losses during a pandemic between the arms of power other than the Department of Energy such as the generation and transmission company, the RCC has disceduped the application that said the consequences of Majeure Force could not be an agreement amendment to PPA regulations and approved rates.
The petition was submitted to the Rajasthan Electrical Regulatory Commission (RERC) to change the risk allocation related to electrical demand, as given below the approved PPA and tariff regulations, based on Force Majeure events.
The applicant estimates the potential of net losses in the range of Rs 400 Crore – RS 926 Crore on the loss of income projected RS 835 Crore – RS1795 Crore for Jaipur Discom itself.
This amounted to the overall average rate of 17-41 Paise per unit.
