Coimbatore: Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) members petitioned chief minister M K Stalin on Wednesday, Asking him to Reestablish Anna University of Technology at Coimbatore.
MDMK youth wing secretary Eswaran stated the university served here from 2007 to 2012 until it had been united with Anna University in Chennai.
“At the moment, as many as 134 schools in the western area were associated with it and roughly 1,34,428 undergraduate students along with 22,046 postsecondary students were studying beneath it.
In the past few decades, the college created close to Rs 200 crore” he explained.
“When it’s revived, then it would be much easier to track its affiliated schools and also the infrastructure and syllabus of this university could be enhanced to get better.
More pupils in the area would gain from the movement.”
