New Delhi: Twitter Managing Director Manish Maheshwari on Tuesday agreed to appear directly before the Uttar Pradesh police officer, if they guarantee no arrest.
Maheshwari was recently called by the Ghaziabad police in a probe to an unpleasant video posted in connection with an attack on an elderly Muslim man.
During the previous hearing, a justice bench G narender had passed the command while holding the police for taking the action of coercion against him.
The order was then challenged at the Supreme Court by the police.
The social media giant has been mired in a row with the central government because it does not follow the new rules.
Previously on that day, the Delhi High Court also expressed his displeasure on Twitter delaying the appointment of a complaint official.
