New Delhi: Ahead of the trial of air pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Government AAP has told the Supreme Court that he is ready to take steps such as full locking to control air pollution.
The Delhi government has told the best court that such a step, however, will be meaningful if implemented throughout the NCR region in neighboring countries.
“GNCTD (the National Capital City Government Delhi) is ready to take steps such as complete locking to control local emissions.
However, such a step will be meaningful if it is carried out throughout the NCR region in neighboring countries.
Given the compact size of Delhi, locking will have an impact limited to air quality regimes.
“This problem needs to be handled at the airshed level involving the NCR area.
Given the above, we are ready to consider this step if the same mandated for the entire NCR region by the Indian Government or by the Air Quality Management Commission in the National Capital Region and the area submitted by Affidavit by the Delhi government said – the situation “emergency” , APEX court on Saturday suggested a lock clamp in the national capital for asking the center and the Delhi government to take immediate steps to improve air quality.
The court said the pollution situation was so bad people wearing masks in their homes.
It is said there are other reasons for pollution such as vehicle emissions, firecrackers and dust, and singing burning stumps is not the solution.
The APEX court also expressed concern that schools in the city have been opened and children are being exposed to severe pollution conditions.
