New Delhi: In the midst of a sustainable opposition protest over the suspension of 12 MPS Rajya Sabha, Wednesday the government said it was ready to revoke their suspension if they apologized to their house for “wrong” behavior.
The house leader in Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyus said embarrassing on the part of several opposition members so that they were not even ready to accept “wrong” behavior from suspended members and were not ready to repent.
Parliament Minister Pralhad Joshi also said, “You have to apologize and we open to take you back.” Opposition members continue to protest inside and outside the home and cause disruption to the suspension of 12 members of parliament.
Members of several opposition parties including the Congress, left, DMK, Trinamool Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena, AAP and others invaded home wells Wednesday held placards and increased their slogans.
They also hold the reading placards “save democracy” and “suspend me” and criticize the behavior of the government’s “dictator”.
While the opposition leader Malikarjun Kharge raised requests several times, the government and seats said the suspension would not be revoked until they apologized for their actions.
A total of 12 Rajya Sabha MPS opposition was suspended on November 29 for the rest of their winter session for their “unique” behavior and “attacked” the secretariat staff in the house on August 11, the last day of the Monsoon Parliament session.
Piyush’s house leader is troubled saying they respect member sentiments, but they have also seen the way Lady Marshals “insulted and attacked” in this house.
“The government is ready to consider their requests but they must apologize for their actions to attack the marshal of women and for the way they behave with people who protect the security of this house,” said Goyal.
“It’s a shame that they are not even ready to repent their actions,” he said too.
He said all the staff were deployed there serving members helped run the house in a sequence.
“After attacking and strangling Marshal, what they have to do is apologize.
It is the most disrespectful that they can show them serving this house,” said Goyal.
“But if they hope that they will attack Marshal and Insult Lady Marshals and then they have the right to return, I think it’s irregular.
It is unfortunate that the senior member of the opposition does not want to repent of the actions of their colleagues,” said Goyal.
Previously, Sushmita Dev (TMC) raised the suspension problem saying “it was truly undemocratic and illegal”.
Some other opposition members also spoke support to revoke the suspension of their colleagues and said they also had to be allowed to participate in home discussions.
Parliament Minister Pralhad Joshi said the short duration notification was called upon the request of opposition members including Sushmita Dev, Nadeemul Haque, GK Vasan etc.
“These are all members of the opposition party …
We allow discussions on their requests and start the debate.
Although, in very important discussions, they do not want to participate,” he said, adding opposition does not allow them to run the question hours in the morning.
During the suspension of 12 members of the opposition, Joshi said they had attacked hard staff home security.
