Prasagraj: BJP MP from Allahabad Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that he was “ready to step down as a parliamentary member if his son, Mayak Joshi, was derived from Lucknow Cantonment in the State Assembly election”, Rajeev Mani.
Talking to Ti by telephone from New Delhi, Joshi said, “If only one person from a family can oppose the election, I am ready to resign from the Constituency of Lok Sabha I am currently given a ticket.
Let the young people enter, I will continue to work for a party .
“Former Congress leader, who joined BJP in 2016, added that he had sent this proposal to the National President of the JP Nadda Party.
“I will always continue to work for BJP.
The party can choose to accept or reject my proposal.
I have stated that I will not oppose the poll,” Joshi said.
“Mayak have done a lot of land work in the assembly segment and is quite popular among all parts of society, especially among young people.
The chair is very dear to me too,” he said.
