Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh was set to introduce the ‘realization curriculum’, as a pilot project at least 150 schools in 15 districts from the 2022-23 academic session.
In July 2018, the Delhi government has launched a curriculum of happiness.
It has been renamed as a ‘curriculum realization’ and will be implemented in elementary school (from class 1 to 5) at first.
The government has appointed a media expert, Saurabh Malviya, as a nodal officer for the project.
Malviya has been entrusted with the task of getting a teacher at the council for a brainstorming session (to be held this week), organizing the physical workshop and choosing a core team consisting of the 30 best brains that will resolve the design of the realization curriculum.
The contents will be completed by the State Education Research and Training Council (SCERT) before the textbook printed, an officer said.
The curriculum will be held in Varanasi, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Siddharthnagar, Prasagraj, Amethi, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Moradabad, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Agra, Mathura, Jhansi and Chitrakoot of the 2022-23 academic session.
“Like other subjects, students will have a period of realization every day.
Just like being experienced in subjects such as English, mathematics or history, students also need to live a happy and peaceful life.
This realization curriculum is just a stepping stone to build a more society Well, positive, and vibrant, “said an officer related to the project.
To make the project succeed, the government has also grabbed in Shravan Kumar Shukla, a government school teacher from Gorakhpur, who is the core member of the curriculum of happiness in Delhi.
He will make a presentation before the teachers during the brainstorming session are scheduled this weekend.
In February 2020, the Shukla Happiness curriculum made him get international praise when our first woman Melania Trump visited the happiness class in Delhi and spent time with children.
Shukla, who did representatives to Delhi since 2016 to develop concepts, returned to their home country this January.
Shukla said the purpose of launching the curriculum upstairs was to support students on their journey to continuous happiness through involvement in meaningful and reflective stories and activities.
“Happiness is the key to all relationships.
Since childhood, I believe that all humans share similar values.
Unfortunately, instead of maintaining the human values, the current education system has placed the thought of happiness about the backburner,” Shukla Toi said.
