New Delhi: Health Minister Delhi Satyendar Jain on Wednesday said it was truly wrong to say that no one died due to lack of oxygen.
The Minister of Health said there had been many deaths due to lack of oxygen in the national and several other places throughout the country.
“If there is no lack of oxygen, why does the hospital move the court? The hospital and the media have marked the problem of lack of oxygen every day.
The television channel shows that how hospitals run out of gas save life.
It’s really wrong to say that not someone dies because of lack Oxygen.
There are many deaths due to lack of oxygen in Delhi and many other places throughout the country, “he said.
The central government on Tuesday told Rajya Sabha that there was no death due to lack of oxygen specifically reported by the state and UTS during the second Covid-19 wave.
But there were unprecedented waves in demand for medical oxygen during the second wave and peaked at almost 9,000 MT compared to 3,095 MT in the first wave after the center had to step up to facilitate a fair distribution among the countries, he said.
Responding to the question of whether a large number of Covid-19 patients died on the road and hospital due to lack of oxygen in the second wave, the State Minister for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar noted that health is the subject and UTS countries regularly report the number of cases and death to the center.
“Detailed guidelines for death reporting have been issued by the UNI Ministry of Health to all states and UTS.” Thus, all states and UTS report cases and deaths to the Ministry of Health on a regular basis.
However, there are no deaths because of lack of oxygen have been reported specifically by the State and UTS, “said the pawar in a written reply.
