Realme, Oneplus, Oppo and Vivo may have electric cars, scooters, and others in India soon.
As per the image shared by Tipster Debayan Roy, the company has registered to register a trademark for their upcoming electric vehicles in this country.
Further images reveal that of four, only realm that managed to get a registered trademark.
While Oppo and Vivo signed up for the 12 trademark class in 2018, Oneplus and Realme submitted a request earlier this year.
Realme has been managed to take a trademark for ‘Realm Techlife and TL Device’.
This valid until April 2031.
Under the trademark, the company can sell electric vehicles, anti-theft devices for cars, self-balancing scooters, self-balancing electric scooters, self-balancing boards, electric bicycles, wheelchairs, child safety seats for Vehicles and vehicles for drivers by land, air, water or train.
These companies have enjoyed a strong presence in the Indian smartphone market.
During the final celebration season, Realm sells around 6 million smartphones in this country and the company expects a boost of 25% -30% in sales this year.
In recent years, China has seen exponential growth in the electric vehicle market.
With various government schemes to improve the public adaptability of this vehicle, India is undoubtedly the next big potential market for anyone in the battery business.
Another major technology player Xiaomi has begun launching its electric scooter in China.
However, it is not yet clear whether it will run in India.
At present, India allows 100% direct foreign investment (FDI) in this sector below automatic route.
The government also recently revised the FAME II subsidy which aims to promote adoption and manufacturing faster electric vehicles.
This scheme offers Rs 15,000 per kWh for manufacturers who help reduce the selling price of this vehicle.
