BBK-owned consumer technology brand Realme is set to expand its product range as the company is gearing up to foray into new categories.
In a tweet, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has announced that the company is set to launch two new products — Realme Beard Trimmer and Realme Hair Dryer — to mark its entry into the personal care category.
“This is another major step towards empowering our customers with cutting-edge technology for a quality lifestyle,” Sheth added in its tweet.

“We at Realme are constantly working towards diversifying our portfolio by entering new product categories and creating trendsetting technology.
We are no longer limited to being a smartphone brand but have already branched out in other domains to set new technological benchmarks.
Our aim is to incorporate innovative technology into every aspect of our users’ lives and provide them with a quality lifestyle.” Sheth didn’t give any tentative timeline for the launch of Realme Beard Trimmer and Realme Hair Dryer in the country but it is expected to happen sooner rather than later.
Realme vs Xiaomi: Yet again Realme’s arch rival Xiaomi already sells beard trimmers in the country.
The company has two models Mi Beard Trimmer 1C Black and Mi Beard Trimmer, currently priced at Rs 1,099 and Rs 1,499 respectively.
When it comes to hair dryers, Xiaomi hasn’t yet launched its offering in the country, but it does sell in its home country China.
The product is called Mi Ionic Hairdryer and it is possible that Xiaomi may plan to launch it in India too.
