Chennai: Commission Grant University (UGC) on Friday directing all higher education and educational institutions to begin the receipt process only after July 31 when all boards are expected to declare the results of class XII.
Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Exams (TNDGE) said the results of class XII would be declared on July 19.
Though UG receipts will begin after the results of XII class for the State Council students were released, the Ministry of Higher Education TN asked all universities to start receipt for 2021-22 on August 1 after the declaration of the CBSE Class XII results.
According to the UGC Academic Calendar for 2021-22, universities must end the reception before September 30 and the academic session must begin in October 1.
However, the UGC left the semester exam planning, rest, the beginning of the subsequent semester and the exam was concerned about the University and an autonomous college.
The next academic year for batch 2021-22 will begin on August 1, 2022.
“Given the financial difficulties faced by parents because of locking and related factors, commissions require all universities to return the full cost for cancellation or migration until October 31 Special.
It is said that there must be zero cancellation fees until 31 October and after that, universities must return the full cost after deducting the process costs no more than ₹ 1,000, “said UGC in its guidelines.
Loyola College Principal Thomas Amirtham said the college of art and science may not need two months for the process of acceptance and online classes for the first students can start much early.
“On the current academic schedule, it is impossible for a long summer break.
This schedule also allows each country to adapt according to their local Covid-19 situation,” he said, adding that online classes tend to continue for several more months.
D G Vaishnav College Principal S Santhosh Baboo said college might want to end the reception process quickly.
“Even if college is permitted to reopen, science science will be called to practice directly while the theory class will be online,” he said.
