Thiruvananthapuram: Head of KPCC K Sudhakaran said surprising to hear that the prison authorities forced gold smuggling accused PS Sarith to name the opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had a gold relationship.
The media section has reported that Saritit has given a statement in court that prison supervisors and other officials forced him to state that Ramesh Chennithala had a link for gold smuggling.
This is revenge because the opposition leader has caused some major problems of the public interest in the LDF government and those who are behind this step trying to drag his name into this problem, he said.
The public has a clear knowledge that it is the office of the main minister and trust that has a bond with a smuggling of gold accused.
Civil society clearly knows where the probe will reach if the case of gold smuggling is investigated in impartial.
He demanded that Saritit immediately shift from the central prison and the action must begin with those who tried such a step.
Chennithala said that the report that Sarith said in court that prison authorities forced him to overthrow against the leaders of Congress showed that the government would do anything to bring up the case.
Chennithala claimed this would not happen without the knowledge or approval of the CM Pinarayi Vijayan who was responsible for prison and that he had to clarify about this problem.
Chennithala claimed that the defendant had named the minister’s chairman in the scheme scheme and if the name of the opposition leader was also dragged into it, the people behind this would think they could save cm.
The government itself strives to fabricate false evidence to overthrow the case and there must be an independent probe in this problem, he added.
