New Delhi: Toll collection through FastAgs touches all time in a day at Rs 122.3 Crore on Saturday, an indication of more economic activities and transportation related activities, especially during the celebration season.
The overall trend also shows that total income increases every day during last week compared to the previous one.
According to data from NHAI, the previous maximum collection was Rs 106.3 Crore on March 27 before the second wave of Covid-19 hit.
Data also showed that daily collection collection increased 5-8% during last week compared to the cost of users collected by toll operators exactly one week.
All 722 toll plazas on the NHS and 196 other toll plazas on the state highway or road only collect user fees through fastags.
Nearly 82% of the total toll cost comes from commercial and heavy vehicles, while cars contribute to almost 18% of the cumulative highway.
In addition to higher traffic on the highway, two other factors that contribute to the increase in toll collection are the annual increase in toll cost and bring a more complete stretch under the toll system.
