Record income from IMFL sales

Written by news2in

Thiruvananthapuram: This Christmas, the state won a record revenue from the sale of foreign liquor made in India (IMFL) through the Kerala State Minverages Corporation (Bevco) and consumerfed outlets.
IMFL worth 150 crore sold in Kerala on December 24 and December 25.
On Christmas Eve, IMFL worth RS 65 Crore sold through Bevco, namely Rs 10 Crore more than last year’s sales.
The highest IMFL sales by any outlet is recorded in Thiruvananthapuram.
Outlet Road Powerhouse Bevco sells IMFL worth 73.53 lakh, while the outlet in Chalakudy sells liquor worth Rs 70.72 lakh.
Bevco has 265 outlets.
While Bevco sold RS 65 Crore worth the IMFL, the outlet under the IMFL was sold for sale for RS 11.5 Crore on Christmas Eve.
But this recording income does not mean that the volume of liquor sold here has increased; Increased income was caused by the increase in IMFL prices.
Meanwhile, the price of the IMFL sold through the hotel bar and consumerated outlet also increased because the government has revised the Bevco wholesale profit margin.
In June this year, the Bevco profit margin for its supply to consumption increased by 20%, while margins for bidding to the hotel bar increased by 25%.
The government has revised profit margins on request from Bevco to increase its financial position.
Bevco then estimates the loss of Rs 1,800 Crore’s revenue for the lost sales when all outlets are closed due to Covid-19 in May and June.
The sale of liquor has begun in positive records in the current financial year with the government producing Rs 970 Cr (around) through sales starting April 1-27.
However, the sale of liquor must be closed from April 27.
The last financial year, the state has obtained a strong income from the sale of liquor.
This produces RS 11,743.99 Crore through the sale of liquor during the last financial year, which is 5.28% less than the previous year before that.
In 2019-20, the sale of liquor has taken the EXPRouer of Rs 12,398 Crore.
