Lucknow: sequencing genome positive sample Covid-19 from Uttar Pradesh has revealed two cases with Delta plus strains, which are more transmitting and avoiding immune.
In May, 100 samples were routinely sent to the Scientific Council and Industrial Research (CSIR) Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Delhi, and reports were received on Tuesday.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad, said: “These cases were identified during the sequencing of the samples in the state.
The surface of the Delta Plus virus makes the appropriate Covid-19 behavior very important.” Until now, more than 1,000 samples have been sent for genome sequencing from the state to various laboratories.
Of these, more than 80% was tested positive for the Delta variant, while around 6% were tested positively against the alpha strain.
Two Delta Plus tension cases have been reported for the first time.
People in revealing the two patients, who came from Gorakhpur and East Deoria Regency and above, have contracted infection in May.
While one of them was a 66-year-old Deoria resident who died during treatment, the other was a 23-year-old resident doctor in Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Gorakhpur.
Both of them do not have a history of travel and not related.
“The infection contracted by the elderly on May 7 and was treated at home until his health deteriorated and he shifted to the Brd Medical College, Gorakhpur.
He died during treatment on May 29.
He did not have a travel history and all 27 contacts were tested negatively to Covid-19,” Source of the Ministry of Health.
Others, a resident doctor at the Brd Medical College, was tested positive to Covid-19 on May 26.
He remained in house isolation for a week and recovered.
Experts say Delta Plus can push the anticipated third wave and more than 500 cases of these varieties have been recorded in 10 states, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
Convincing that the state is at a high warning to isolate the Delta Case plus strain at the initial stage, ACS Prasad said: “The second wave is reduced.
Daily daily cases and recovery levels have surged to 98.6%.
However, the presence of two Delta cases Plus makes the right Covid-19 behavior very important.
“Meanwhile, data showed that 120 new cases and 191 recovery were reported in the last 24 hours in the state, which also recorded 11 deaths.
The number of active cases in the state is 1,947, including 1351 in house isolation.
