Recruitment activities in India grow by 43 pc every year in October: Reports

Mumbai: Recruitment activities expanded 43 percent year in October were driven by strong demand for technology professionals, according to a report.
According to the report Naukri Jobspeak, with 2,523 job lists on October 2021, there was a growth of 43 percent year-to-year (Y-O-O).

Recruitment activities have also been picked up in sectors such as retail (51 percent) and hospitality / travel (48 percent) with an ongoing holiday season, opening large offline outlets and peak sales seasons for e-commerce retailers.
Other sectors such as education / teaching (41 percent) and banking / financial services (39 percent) also experienced growth compared to October 2020.
IT-Software / Software Services Growth has enabled Metro City to outperform their level II colleagues in the annual growth chart.
The average Y-O-Y growth recorded in Metro cities is 59 percent while non-metros grows slower than 30 percent.
Bengaluru (84 percent), Hyderabad (80 percent), Pune (69 percent) and Chennai (57 percent) recorded the highest Y-O-Y growth in October 2021.
