Coimbatore: Recycled water From Ondipudur Seavage Treatment Plant (STP) will soon help farmers in dry tendril talel areas such as Bogampatti, Sellakkarichal, Idaampalayam, Vadavalti, Vadavalli and Ketanur.
The village makers have gathered to carry out work to take water to their land by spending money from their pockets.
The water treated will be taken to Lakshmi Nayakakanlayam, which is 18 km away, by implementing the project to pump water at a cost of Rs 16 Crore.
Farmers will also spend RS 10 Crore to distribute water between themselves.
STP can treat 60 million liters of water a day (MLD).
After the underground drainage work carried out by Coimbatore Corporation is complete, waste water will be treated before being released.

This project involves the installation of a 540HP pump station on land hired by the farmer’s association from Coimbatore Corporation.
Water will be pumped through a 400mm pipe to Lakshmi nayakanpalayam.
