Thane: Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will return the four ‘hasty’ civil engineers suspended by the city government last month after they were wrongly responsible for road conditions managed by state institutions in various parts of the city.
The Red-faced Thane Administration made an announcement at the General Agency on Wednesday, even because it failed to provide conclusive justification for the action.
The civil engineer was suspended last month, the day after the Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde was looking for actions against those responsible for poor roads.
This problem was raised by the NCP Corporator Hanmant Jagdale, who was looking for justification from the administration after Nentas came out to support the engineers who said it was unfair to target a junior staff while the elderly was spared.
The additional city commissioner-1 Sandeep Malvi told the house that the suspension order was based on reports from the Department of Public Works.
One of the city engineers, however, denied claims and said the stretching road was not even managed by the corporation.
