New Delhi: Special cell Delhi police have arrested a man from Punjab in connection with the case of the Fort Fort flag lifting, officials said on Monday.
The defendant named Gurjot Singh, they said.
Deputy Police Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said, “Singh was arrested from Amritsar in Punjab.
Gift RS 1 Lakh was stated for his arrest.” Thousands of farmers who protested the new Central Agri Law had clashed with the police during the tractor parade on January 26.
Many protesters, driving tractors, reached the red fortress and entered the monument.
Some protesters even raised religious flags at the dome and flags in the fort, where the national flag opened on independence day.
