Hyderabad: After being pushed to the corner by the powerful TRS and the BJP that rose again, the new Telangana Congress was led by Revanth Reddy wanted to regain lost land in a larger Hyderabad.
Of the total 150 seats in GHMC, the congress can succeed in winning two in the election held on the civilian body in December 2020.
Congress saved some pride by defeating BJP at Bypoll Ward Lingojiguda, taking Tally at the GHM board to three seats.
, In the 2018 assembly poll, Congress failed to win a single chair from the 14 assembly seat in the Hyderabad constituency and Secunderabad Lok Sabha.
While TRS swept the majority of 24 assembly segments in the larger Hyderabad and Aimim won seven seats.
Congress candidate D Sudheer Reddy won the PB Nagar seat which fell under the Constituency of Malkajgiri Lok Sabha, but then defected it to TRS.
Given the fight in Congress, Think-Tank from the new team has suggested several strategies to revive the prospect of party election.
The first strategy was to divide the city into four zones based on the number of GHMC environments and assembly constituencies located in each of the four Hyderabad parliamentary constituencies, Secunderabad, Malkjagiri and Chevella.
Revanth Reddy confirmed to the Toi that they would immediately make a decision after consultation with all stakeholders to ensure that Congress emerged as a force that must be taken into account again in Hyderabad greater.
There was a proposal to appoint a young and senior youth team consisting of the President of Work, Vice President, District and Mandal President, former MPs, MLC, MLC and former ministers and gave them responsibility to revive the party in each ward, segment assembly and constituency Parliament as a whole, said a party leader.
Among other options appointed as a separate city president for the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Rangeddy and Medchal Malkajgiri District which will work under a high-level team consisting of seniors for each assembly constituency.
The President of the President’s Congress is located blank now when Anjan Kumar Yadav, who holds the position, has increased as president of the State Congress worker.
The Revanth Reddy LED team is now looking for a strong leader from the city to take TRS, BJP and Aimim.
“It won’t be an easy task.
Congress has won 14 seats in Hyderabad which is bigger in the 2009 Assembly poll but after it has declined.
The big brain in the new team has suggested a strategy to put the party back to the track,” said a leader.
