NEW DELHI: Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, has yet again decided to postpone the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation.

Earlier, the REET 2021 exam was scheduled to be held on June 20 but has now been postponed.
However, the government will issue a revised date soon.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan too has begun an exercise on the life validity of the REET certificate on the lines of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
The government is likely to decide the start of the upcoming REET exam application process.

At the meeting held by the minister of state for education Govind Singh Dotasra with officials of the department, Dotasra said the certificate of CTET has been made valid for life, though the department was yet to receive a letter from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
The minister has said a factual test will be done after the NCTE letter arrives.
Thereafter, the government will decide on the lifetime validity of REET’s certificate.
Efforts are being made that this exercise will be completed before the upcoming examination.
In the meeting, 15 points related to the department were discussed in detail.
