Biharsharif: A man allegedly shot dead his wife in Nalanda Village on Tuesday after he refused to give him money to buy liquor.
According to the police, the incident occurred in a village dispute under the Katrisarai police station in the district and the defendant was identified as Shambhu Sharan Pandey.
Shambhu’s son Sandeep Pandey told the police that his father killed his mother, Kanchan Devi (40), after he refused to give him money for liquor.
Sho of Katrisaraai Police Station Sharad Ranjan said the police restored a woman’s body from home and handed it to her relatives after autopsy.
He said the defendant escaped from the village after committing a crime.
“Raids are being carried out to arrest him,” he added.
