Register Merit: Alert ‘Sunny Leone’, College takes extra guards

Kolkata: The film star keeps the principal and deputy kavansator in Kolkata glued on the computer screen even though the reason is not his body works but to prevent jokes that cause a lot of shame not only to college but also to the entire department of education after that last year’s viral.
In 2020, the fake application on behalf of Sunny Leone managed to reach the top of the English literary list of Astutosh College inspired a series of online memes and Sunny tweeting how “excited” he would return to college which replied many of them to become his classmate.
However, this year, universities will not leave the stone missed to avoid such situations where fake applications or pranks make it to the achievement list.
Last year, colleges and universities were too busy finding out the whole process of receiving online and the fake Sunny application slipped through the filter process and made it to the achievement list.
But universities and universities have been vigilant this time and have included a mechanism to get rid of the application both at the application stage or just before the achievement list is arranged.
The probability of jokes is higher because there are no application fees and most of the universities cannot physically verify the document before entering.
In College Asutosh where the incident occurred, the authorities had directed applicants to report online before the final achievement list was arranged at each stage.
“Students will be notified to upload a copy of their mark sheets, photos, signatures and other documents that we will tally to what they have sent when applying.
If anyone tries to play a joke or send false details, it will be arrested at this stage only, “said a college official.
The first online application is scheduled for August 18, 19 and 20.
“We want to avoid events like last year and we took the right steps for it.” Presidency University, too, has directed applicants to report online before each provisional pretision list was published.
“Students will be asked to upload a copy of the mark, signature, and other documents that will be matched with those sent at the application stage.
This will help us eliminate all false applications,” said an official.
First Online Reporting Scheduled on August 30 and September 1.
Many autonomic colleges such as Mission Ramakrishna Vidyamandira and St Xavier will have an online interaction or viva voce before entering.
The reception portal of all colleges is maintained by a “professional” company that designs software and includes mechanisms for various calculations and to identify false applications.
Before the receipt process began this year, the college authorities held a meeting with the company and instructed them to ensure that false applications like last year did not reach the achievement list.
“Universities also make their team be careful for fake applications or jokes on the application stage.
Last year’s incident involving the false application of Sunny Leone was a very embarrassing for all of us,” said the North College College Principal.
