Chennai: Minister of Endowmen Religion and Hindu Amal (HR & CE) P K Sekar Babu on Tuesday asked the former Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K palaniswami to release a list of restored temple properties during the AIADMK regime.
On Monday, Palaniswami, who is now an opposition leader, states that the AIADMK government has taken the properties of the temple worth more than the RS 3,500 Crore.
Because the DMK in power, the HR & CE department has recovered 79.5 hectares of land, worth around RS 520 Crore.
The government has made it public, the minister tells reporters.
In the statement of CM Edappadi K cm Palaniswami had taken 8,700 hectares of Temple of Temple, Sekar Babu wondered why the EPS government had failed to act on complaints of officials on the encroachment of the Sivaganga Gowri Vinayagar Temple.
They did not stop construction activities at 10 hectares of Temple of Temple, which were interrupted by relatives then Minister of AIADMK.
Denying the cost of EPS that the HR & CE Department began actions to relieve 40,000 daily wages and contract workers from services, the minister said the EPS had issued such a statement to cover irregularities in the department in appointing staff and protecting the former department minister (Sevur S Ramachandran).
The action is being taken to regulate something correctly, he said.
He also mocked EPS claims that the AIDMK government had regulated 2,000 contract workers and daily wage workers.
He said the AIDMK government has guarded orders to regulate around 1,600 jobs delayed for six years.
Towards the end of their regime, they made an announcement under 110 rule with the belief that the DMK would concentrate it.
“Now, we have accumulated the details of the staff.
Soon, they will be arranged.
They will receive orders for the same thing from the chairman of Minister M K Stalin,” added the minister.
