Noida: waiting for the opportunity to play golf? Well, the authority of Noida has opened the registration process for 1,000 first members of the Noida International Golf Course which is being developed in the 151A sector.
General members must pay Rs 10 lakh, while civil servants will be made by RS 3 Lakh payment members.
The golf course is expected to be ready for next August next year.
Authority will provide membership to close to 3,500 regular members, where registration for the first 1,000 slots has begun.
Noida already has an 18-hole golf course in Sector 38, spread in 97 hectares.
The International Golf Course is being developed with a budget of RS 90 Crore between Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Yamuna River in a location that has several highrise apartment complexes.
To start working, the authority floated tender in July last year and work happened at the location.
The club will be sustainable and will work on alternative energy sources.
A society will be formed to run the club.
Meanwhile, TOI has learned that the authority of Noida will continue the Heliport Project report planned with the International Golf Course in the 151A sector to the state government immediately.
Heliport is planned in the village of Cambakshpur from Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, will be developed on a public-private partnership model.
Authority has employed rite services as a consultant to prepare detailed project reports for Heliport.
Officials said that the final approval of the state government was expected in a month.
