Regular international flights are suspended until February 28

New Delhi: Omicron increasingly pushed back the resumption of international flights scheduled.
They will now remain suspended until February 28, 2022, said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday circling.
Expensive options under air bubbles, which India now have more than 30 countries, will continue.
Regular international flights were suspended on March 23, 2020 due to the emergence of Covid-19.
“This restriction does not apply to all international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA,” said DGCA order.
Just before Omicron struck, the government has announced the resumption of regular flights from December 15, 2021.
However, it cannot occur and expensive bubble flights remain the only choice for travelers to the usual resumes.
There has been no clarity when when an ordinary internatioanl flight will continue.
While delaying the reopening of December 15, DGCA has said: “Given the global scenario that develops with the emergence of a new variant of concern, the situation is being watched carefully in consultation with all stakeholders and proper decisions that show the effective reopening date of international passenger service Commercial scheduled to be notified in time.
