New Delhi: While confirming Indian national kidnapping in Kabul, the government said on Thursday said contact “All who was noted” in Afghanistan to secure the release of entrepreneurs identified as B Arendeh.
“We have seen reports of people who are missing about Indian citizens who are missing in Kabul.
We relate to all who care.
We have seen reports of local authorities who conducted an investigation,” MEA spokesman Arinindam Bagchi said.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and tell you about developments,” he added.
The spokesman responded to the question of whether India had established contacts with the Taliban about this problem.
When specifically asked whether Arendeh was an Indian citizen, Bagchi said, “I wander to understand that he was an Indian citizen but we also examined that part”.
The report said the Arendeh family lived in Faridabad, and he had been involved in business in Kabul for the past two decades.
Replying to another question, Bagchi said it was difficult to say about bringing back the remaining Indians and some Afghan citizens to flight services back at Kabul Airport.
