Relations of teachers have an impact on the absence of regular interactions: Minister

MySuru: District Minister in-Charge St Somashekar on Sunday said the Covid crisis has damaged the relationship between teachers in the absence of regular interactions with each other.
Speaking after launching a teacher’s day celebration held jointly by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and the Public Instruction Department, he said offline study mode was more useful and productive compared to other study modes.
Recalling the contribution of some of their teachers and sacrifices in forming future citizens, he describes teaching as a noble profession.
He appreciated the role of the teacher in building a strong country, because of its rapid development in the field of science technology and research application and highlighted the contribution of former President Sarvpalli Radhakrishna.
He also praised the teachers for correcting community diseases, social transformation and to bring social reform.
“When the nation still faces challenges in several fields, teacher cooperation must handle it,” he said.
He asked the teachers to develop patriotism, and nationalistic spirit between young people and entrepreneurial skills among students to achieve the goals they wanted.
Apart from instilling education, tethering values, the teacher must also teach life skills to overcome challenges in their daily lives and to step on the right path, he said.
He asked the teacher to find a solution to the problem faced by students after the launch of virtual learning during a pandemic.
“As a one-to-one meeting between teachers and students declined, students depend on Google and other technology tools.
Teachers must find an alternative to this,” he said.
Former Minister Ah Vishwanath, GT Devegowda and Saiteer Saiter, Mayor of Sundanra and DC Bagadi Gautham were present.
