Rajkot: Opposition Congress in Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) demands professional tax neglect for small traders for future civil buddies.
The party also urged that no new tax added in the next financial year.
The RMC budget is expected to be presented at the end of February.
Bhanuben Sorani’s opposition leader in the representation of the chairman of the Kota Fixed Committee and Commissioner stated that during the second wave of Covid-19 many people lost their lives and in the third wave of too many residents.
The financial situation of the general public has deteriorated and they face an extraordinary financial crisis, said Sorani.
People suffer from unemployment, price increases, increases in school fees, let alone emis loan expenses.
Small traders have affected a bad impact because of a pandemic, he said.
Sorani urged the ruling parties and the city commissioners to consider various factors and did not add new taxes to 2022-23.
Sorani also demands professional tax neglect for small traders and interest on the delay in payment of property taxes for housing taxpayers.
He also demanded a 20% discount, not 10% for those who pay property taxes in advance.
He asked for free city bus services for students.
