Telecom service provider Reliance Jio has quietly launched a new annual plan of Rs 3,499.
The plan gives users 3GB daily data for 365 days, which amounts to a total of 1,095GB data per year.
Post consumption of the FUP of the daily data, the speed will drop to 64Kbps.
This is the first time that an annual plan is offering 3GB data per day; so far there’s no 3GB per day data prepaid plan that has 365 days validity.
Most prepaid plans from Airtel, Vodafone Idea and even Reliance Jio that offer 3GB data per day come with 28, 56 or 84 days validity.
Apart from 3GB daily data, users will also get unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day with the Rs 3,499 prepaid plan.
Some of the other additional user benefits are access to JioTV, JioCinema, JioCloud, JioSecurity and JioNews.
There is no bonus data or any other free subscription services that come bundled with the plan Other than the latest Rs 3,499 data prepaid plan, the other 3GB data per day plan offered by Reliance Jio has 84 days validity and is priced at Rs 999.
The new, Rs 3,499 yearly plan makes it the company’s most expensive prepaid plan.
How Reliance Jio’s Rs 3,499 plan compares with Airtel and Vodafone IdeaAirtels’ 365 day prepaid plan costs Rs 2,498 and offers 2GB data per day with unlimited voice calls and 100SMS per day.
Other benefits include Airtel Xstream Premium, Apollo 24|7 Circle, free Hellotunes, a free Wynk Music subscription, Rs 100 cashback on FASTag.
Vodafone’s annual prepaid plan comes at Rs 2,595, offering users 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100SMS per day, a one-year VIP subscription of Disney+Hotstar etc.
Vodafone subscribers can use night data from 12AM to 6AM without any deduction in the pack for free.
The unused data of the weekdays can be carried forward to the weekends as part of the company’s Weekend Data Rollover.
