The next Jiophone comes loaded with a device locking feature that will limit user access if a failure occurs in paying EMIS.
This phone has a price tag of Rs 6,499 and can also be purchased by paying Rs 1.999 in advance and the rest through EMI up to 24 months.
So, if the user fails to pay EMI installments, the feature will limit phone access and can block a number of specific applications.
“According to the details provided on the next Jiophone, the admin can see a list of applications installed on the smartphone.
Similarly, they can also control aspects such as applications installed, location permissions, microphone permits, and camera permits,” said a report by Gizbot .
There are four packages available for buyers if they want to go for the EMI option: always according to plan: the buyer will have the option to choose two Emi plans: Rs 300 for 24 months or Rs 350 for 18 months.
They will get 5GB of data plus 100 minutes per month.
Big plan: Buyers can pay Rs 450 or Rs 500 for 24 or 18 months each.
They will get 1.5GB of data per day along with unlimited voice calls.
XL Plan: Buyers can choose to pay Rs 500 or Rs 550 each for 24 months or 18 months.
They will get 2GB of data along with voice calls without limits every month.
XXL Plan: Buyers can choose to pay Rs 550 or Rs 6000 each for 24 months or 18 months.
They will get 2.5GB of data along with voice calls without limits every month.
Reliance Jio collaborates with Google for the next Jiophone.
The next Jiophone reliance will come with a mild version of the Android operating system provided by Google and not Kaios.
“Our team has optimized our Android OS version especially for this device,” said Google and the Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.
This is the first mobile device from Reliance Jio to offer Android OS.
The old model of the Jio cellphone is powered by Kaios.
