New Delhi: In the first four days since the launch of the Covid-19 family financial financial assistance scheme, nearly 400 recipients had the application form.
On Sunday, the Minister of Social Welfare of Social Welfare Rajendra Pal Gautam said 390 beneficiaries had been applied under the scheme until July 9, including 220 for monthly pensions and 170 for ex-gratia payments.
As part of the scheme, it was announced on July 6, Rs 50,000 will be given Ex Gratia for each family member who has died because of Covid-19.
The government will also provide Rs 2,500 per month to the family for the death of Breadwinner and Rs 2,500 per month to children, until the age of 25, who have lost parents.
A member of each of the affected families will be registered as the volunteer of civil defense and the government will also take care of education and medical care from dependent children.
To help beneficiaries, the application process will be tracked quickly, said Gautam.
Beneficiaries must first register at edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in.
“We will not wait for the recipient to fill out the application form.
Our representatives will also help fill out the form by going from door to door,” Minister said.
“At this time, we want to help families as soon as possible.
Our representatives will not find errors in their documentation, but they will help in the documentation process,” he added.
