Relieved: the city of the silk emerged as the cleanest city in the state for the third time in a row as a rating of the City of Municipal Corporation (BECC) assessed the peak among cities in Odisha and the 56th in the country in Swachh Sarvekshan-2021, the results were announced on Saturday.
BECC was awarded the Swachh City Award for toppings in the best mid-city in the intovation and best practice (3-10 population lakh) for the second year in a row.
A team of Civic’s body officials, led by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kouse and Bemc Commissioner Siddheshwar Baliram Bondare, received a prestigious award from the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Singh Puri on the occasion of New Delhi, held in New Delhi, held in New Delhi.
“We ranked 56th at the national and first level in the state this time,” said Bondare.
Mixed to be ranked 63rd and 216 at the national level in 2020 and 2019, at first rank in Odisha in these years.
