Religious places to reopen from October 7

Mumbai: With Covid-19 cases of plateau in the state, the Maharashtra government announced the reopening of all religious places in the state of October 7, the first day of Navratri.
The Chairperson of the Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray said that all places of worship will be open to all worshipers but must follow a strict Covid-19 safety protocol.
The state government is under pressure from political parties to open the temple, especially after providing relaxation to many sectors such as restaurants, malls and shops.
The Maharashtra government faces protest by BJP because it does not open the temple, which remains closed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
