GUWAHATI: The next wave of this Covid-19 has left thousands of individuals working in various private businesses, shopping malls and other institutions jobless.
Finding no means to eke out a living, several have begun selling fish, vegetables and meat throughout the non-curfew hours from town.
Gunamoni Das, a 25-year-old, has been a contractual worker in a reputable private college in town.
Because of its prevailing Covid-19, he also lost his job and he now sells fish onto the footpath at the Chandmari region of town.
“Remaining within dread of Covid is going to lead to death of folks like us because of starvation.
We lost tasks.
But we must do something to make our bread and butter to remain alive amid this outbreak.
Thus, each day, my friend go into the Kachari ghat to purchase fish.
We deliver about 10-12 pound of fish each morning and market here in Chandmari,” Gunamoni stated.
Bibek Das, who was employed as a food delivery boy, lost his job as a result of pandemic and has started selling broiler meat in his area in Chandmari.
“People cannot wait to get until normalcy returns.
Normalcy will surely go back if the fundamental Covid-19 protocols have been followed closely by everybody.
Here, the matter is around the livelihood.
How would someone buy ration? The authorities won’t feed anybody for certain.
Can it be pandemic or anything.

It’s people who must wage their struggle ,” he added.
He said that the pandemic has affected him emotionally too.
“At this time we can plan something ahead of the pandemic however we had been engaged in a little job.
The problem has become such at which we must think for every meal,” he added.
The youths said it’d be safer if the government believes providing financial support to the folks who lost their jobs because of this pandemic.
The limitation on vehicular motion, such as ban on inter-district motion, has influenced the economies in town.
Most street vendors, who travel out of neighboring areas of town to Guwahati, have ceased coming into the city for company because of the rigorous limitations on vehicular movement.
Low footfall of road vendors have struck the town dwellers that are no more gaining access to unique goods, such as vegetables.
