Reopen school for girls our responsibilities, not world pressure: Taliban

Kabul: The government led by the Taliban in Afghanistan said that sustaining schools for girls throughout the country is their responsibility and not because of the pressure of the world.
The statement was made by Minister of Acting Maulaee Noorullah Muneer during his meeting with Deborah Lyons, a special representative of the UN Secretary General told Afghanistan, here on Thursday, Khaama Press reported.

Taliban officials have announced that higher schools for girls and state universities for boys and girls will be reopened in the next year of education which began in March.
At least 150 state universities for boys and girls and all public schools higher for girls are still closed since the country’s takeover by the Taliban in August 2021.
Earlier this month, Taliban Higher Education Minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani has announced that universities throughout the country for male and female students will be reopened, but the class will be separated for boys and girls.
However, he did not mention the reopening date.
