Nagpur: The city traffic cotton zone of the city traffic has requested the Gandhibagh zone, Dhantoli and Satranjipura from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to repair all holes above the Ganesh Festival from September 10.
In a letter to Commissioner of Radhakrishnan B, the traffic police said that several tar tar zones in the cotton market zone were dilapidated and “this can create a legal and order situation during the transportation of idol Ganesh”.
Senior traffic police from the DCP office (traffic) stated that the Department of Cotton Market Zone had increased the problem of roads, damaged or explored roads at the center of citizenship with civilian authority.
“Road damage means a corrugated ride for Ganesh’s idol procession starting from expensive, which is the main market for idols, to each mandal or home in all cities,” the police said.
Cop further said that there was no particular point or stretch mentioned in the letters sent to the three assistant commissioner of Gandhibagh City, Satranjipura and the Dhantoli zone and to the civil heads.
“Most of the three cross-cross-crossing roads of this zone are truly in poor condition,” he said.
The canporator of these zones also said that the road in Prabhag each needs to be repaired.
Senior Corporator Abha Pande and CorCress Corporator Bunty Shelke said that there were many holes on the road in Itwari, Gandhibagh, Satranjipura and expensive.
A senior official from the Hotmix NMC Department said that it had begun to restore the road, fillings and other works.
“Because of the rain, NMC found it difficult to fill the hole,” the official said.
Patchwork has filled the hole, but has made its surface uneven and creates a lump.
“This ugly job has also left the mandal worried.
We are worried to bring idols safely,” said ECTA organizer Ganesh Mandal and Ex-MLC Prakash Gajbhiye.
