Chicago: Three law enforcement officers were shot and injured Wednesday morning outside the Chicago police station, according to media reports.
The shooting was reported about 6 in the morning.
Near the 22nd District Station in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the south side of City.
Reports from Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times cited information from fire officials, and injuries to officers reported not being considered life-threatening.
Police Chicago did not release information about shooting, but the planned press conference said.
No arrest reported.
The shooting came a day after the police reported that 100 people were shot in Chicago – including two injured police officers while trying to break the crowd – for the four July weekend long weekend.
Weekend holiday shootings include 18 murders.
The bloodshed was proportional to the fourth weekend of July last year, when 17 people were shot fatally and 70 more injured.
