NEW DELHI: The Centre delivered a reminder to West Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay that”retired” on Monday to record on the staff ministry at Delhi at 10am on Tuesday, neglecting which disciplinary action could be initiated against him, officials said.
They stated the badge was sent following the officer neglected to record on Monday in reaction to an order issued with the ministry putting his solutions together with the Government of India.
Following the political slugfest on the matter, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday stated Bandyopadhyay has”retired” and he’s been appointed as her advisor for three decades.
She’d earlier in the afternoon written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to reverse the Centre’s order remembering Bandyopadhyay, also said that her administration was”not discharging” the best bureaucrat.
She explained the central authorities had requested Bandopadhyay to report on Delhi’s North Block on Tuesday, but included an officer cannot combine a brand new office without consent from the state government.
“The CS obtained a letter in the Centre requesting him to combine North Block from elsewhere.
This isn’t a response to my letter but also to the CS.
I haven’t got any response from it into the correspondence that I had delivered earlier now,” she told newspersons in Kolkata.
Resources in Delhi said essential disciplinary proceedings would be initiated from the officer if he fails to record at Delhi on Tuesday.

The employees ministry on May 28 hunted professional services of Bandyopadhyay and requested the state government to ease the officer instantly.
Bandyopadhyay, that had been scheduled to retire Monday after conclusion of 60 decades old, was recently provided a three-month expansion.
His expansion was accepted by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) led by the prime minister.
In a communique to the country authorities, the employees ministry on Friday reported that the ACC has approved the position of the expert services of Bandyopadhyay together with Government of India according to criteria of Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954,”with immediate effect”.
While requesting the state government to ease the officer with immediate impact, additionally, it led Bandyopadhyay to document to the department of personnel and coaching, North Block, New Delhi from 10 am on May 31.
The officer failed to report Monday, after which letter had been issued where the state administration had been advised to ease him with immediate impact and he was directed to report on the DoPT, North Block, New Delhi from 10am on June 1, 2021, officials explained, citing specifics of this communiqué.
Rule 6 (1) of this IAS cadre principles states that a cadre officer will, with the concurrence of the state authorities concerned as well as the central authorities, be deputed for support beneath the central administration or another state authorities.
“Given that in the event of any disagreement, the issue shall be determined by the central authorities and the state government or state authorities concerned shall contribute to this decision of the central authorities,” it claims.
