Cairo: A building apartment collapsed in the South Egypt province on Monday, killing at least three children, the media managed by the state government reported.
The rescue team took at least nine injured from the debris of two-story buildings in the Inanasiya District in Beni Suef Province, around 111 kilometers (69 miles) south of Cairo, according to Al-Ahram daily.
Two brothers and sisters aged 8 and 12 and their 11-year-old sister were killed, Al-Ahram reported.
Three children including those injured, said the report.
Not immediately known what caused collapse but such incidents occurred commonly in Egypt, where bad construction was widespread in Shantytowns, the environment of the poor and rural areas.
In September, a four-story building collapsed in the city of Shoubra El-Khaima, near Cairo, killing at least three people.
The government recently launched hard action against illegal buildings throughout the country, imprisoning violators and in many cases destroying buildings.
