PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Government School Education Directorate has asked the government principal in Ariyankuppam here to ask the incident alleged by a teacher to a Muslim girl wearing a headscarf while attending.
A spokesman for the Directorate told PTI on Tuesday that complaints were received from student clothing and other organizations to the teacher objected to students wearing headscarves while attending classes while attending classes.

The federation of Indian Puducherry President, Swaminathan, said the girl had attended the classes wearing a headscarf for the past three years.
“Why is there an objection now for the girl wearing a headscarf,” Swaminathan asked.
He will present a memorandum to the main minister on Wednesday looking for action against the teacher to object to students.
Swaminathan said that there was also a complaint that several schools in Veerampattinam, Embalam and Tirukanor pushed ‘exercises’ similar to those carried out in the RSS program.
“We want a detailed probe about this too and prevent the intrusion of the safonfonization of institutions with the active encouragement of the official part,” he said.
