New Delhi: The Republican Day Parade this year will have “the biggest and grandest” fleet with a total of 75 aircraft and helicopters, including seven new Rafale fighters, to mark the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
Both Flypast, which will also include naval aircraft and army helicopters, and the IAF Tableau will also commemorate some of the important battle of the 1971 War, a spokesman for the IAF, Indranil Nandi’s wing commander, said on Monday.

In between, there will be other formations with Helicopters of Dhruv, MI-17, Chinook and Apache and the C-130J Super Hercules, Dakota, Dornier-228 and Aew & C aircraft.
Two MIG-29K Navy and One Maritime Patrol Plane 8I, in turn, will fly the “Varuna” formation.
However, the Light Tejas Indigenous Combat plane will, however, is not a feature in Flypast.
