WASHINGTON: Republican in the US Congress attacked the recommendations of health officials that even vaccinated people fully continue to wear masks in many places, including Capitol, as a very contagious Delta variant of the nation.
The doctor who was present for the Capitol followed a similar step with the White House after Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC) issued a recommendation of a new mask intended to stem the spread of new variants.
“Masks and vaccine mandates: intimidation, control, not constitutional, threats to freedom!” Republican representatives, Jody Hice, from Georgia tweeted on Wednesday morning.
The mask has become a political flame point during the pandemic, with the Republican Party argue that the advice of public health officials that masks can slow the spread of Covid-19 which violates individual freedom.
About 57.6% of Americans have so far received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, with the lowest level throughout the southeast of the Republic.
Four of the five countries with the lowest level of vaccination in the United States have the Republican Governor, Mississippi, Idaho, Wyoming and Alaska, according to Reuters Covid Tracker.
The fifth governor, Louisiana, is a Democrat.
The Top Republic Senate, Mitch McConnell, launched campaign advertising in the state of Kentucky aimed at fighting what he called “bad advice” encouraged several Americans to choose not to be vaccinated.
Doctor Capitol urged Congressman to continue using a mask in the public room.
“For Congress, which represents a collection of individuals traveling every week from various fields of risk (both high and low disease transmission levels), all individuals must wear medical class filtration masks that are right …
when they are in the interior of the room,” said Dr.
Brian Monahan in a memo Tuesday night.
The rules apply to all representative home office buildings, at the Hall of the House and at the Committee meeting, he said.
Even before the recommendation, many Democrats Congress had again wore a mask on Capitol this week.
